USF & The Bull

From PETA (http://www.peta.com)

The University of South Florida (USF) is currently considering a
proposal to use a live bull as a school mascot. The bull will be
corralled into a pen at home games and may also be run across the
field during the games.

Bulls don’t belong at athletic events. The bright lights, loud noises,
and screaming fans are terrifying to animals, who can’t possibly
understand what’s happening and will become defensive at the drop of a
hat. No amount of training can stop an animal from behaving
instinctively, and trainers cannot protect themselves or the public
from an angry animal’s wrath when he or she finally rebels.

Please ask USF’s president, Judy Genshaft, to reject this proposal.
Encourage her to follow the progressive example of most professional
and semi-pro teams, which choose the much more effective and humane
option of using humans in costumes as mascots:

Thank you for helping to get this cruel plan stopped! Please forward
this alert to all your friends, family members, and coworkers who may
also be concerned.
