Spam, Spam and Spam

All of you have heard people referring to junk email as ’spam’. But, have you ever wondered why?

Well, it was because of the following episode of Monthy Python:

in the early days, spam was used to refer to a situation where a person would repeatedly send the same word multiple times in a newsgroup or a chatroom or some type of messaging system to get someone else’s text off the screen just like how they repeat the word ’spam’ lots of times in the video, hence “SPAMming” the dialogue.

The word SPAM was used excessively in the episode to refer to the British rationing during World War II where SPAM was one of the few foods that was widely available.
