I have to be honest, I have not used Mapquest in a few years, but mainly because there was a period of time when Mapquest got me lost 100% of the time. It was so bad that I just gave up on the service and started using Google Maps. I have never had any issues with Google Maps, and I travel all over the world, and use my iPhone to locate places using Google Maps. As for the time taking less than what Google says, I think it has to do with the fact that GMaps will give you the time if you are driving speed limit (which no one does), and also depending on your settings it accounts for traffic. So if you use GMaps on your computer and print the directions, then the travel time may be different if you set it for traffic and check the travel path during rush hour. Also, I have friends who use GPS devices and when we are in very remote locations, their devices will get them all kinds of lost, but my GMaps always finds the destination.
